Pool Sales Skyrocket This Summer

Pushed by consumers stuck at home because of the pandemic and trying to cool down during the hot summer months, sales of pools have skyrocketed both in Europe and in the U.S.. Reuters has reported that about 45% of members of the Pool & Hot Tub Alliance, the main U.S. industry trade group, forecast revenues would rise 10% or more this year.
The swimming pool boom during the Covid-19 crisis shows how consumer habits have changed favoring work from home situations as the world struggles to contain new outbreaks and some people avoid beaches, prefering to invest in home renovations and often in a brand new pool for the backyard.
